Let Your Joy
Lead You to Healing
What are your joys? Gardening, traveling, singing, playing the piano? Mine include yoga, dancing, and music. Yoga is not only a joy for me; it is one of my self-healing practices, along with meditation and play. Spending time each day in one, if not more, of our joys is where healing often occurs.

CRADLE YOGA
Nancy G: “I feel like I’ve been rebirthed…”
Julie C: “I have never felt so relaxed in my entire life!”
Shari F: “This feels so embryonic! I think everyone wants to return to this state of bliss.”
Karen S.: “I loved the class…so relaxing…letting go…doing things I never thought I would. It feels amazing!”
Kathleen T: “An experience that allows you to work on your physicality as well as your spirituality.”
Matt S: “I slept better that night after class than I have in years. Over the last year or so I’ve been dealing with insomnia. Thank you for an enlightening experience.”
Lori T.: “I feel phe-nom-en-ol!” (whispered very s-l-o-w-l-y right after class)
Lesa F: “I went to Miraval Resort & Spa in Arizona (Oprah’s recommendation!) where I experienced my first yoga class. That class was nothing compared to this...Yesterday was my first experience with cradle yoga and it was an exhilarating, relaxing, mind clearing workout! I am looking forward to future classes!”
Debra C: “I want to do this every day, and I would like every woman in Genesee County to experience this!” -- which led to a Cradle Yoga exhibit at the 2012 Flint Women2Women Expo where hundreds of women (and even some men!) played in the cradle for their first time. Many are now dedicated students.
WALL YOGA
Judy D: “I feel it mostly reducing pain in my lower back, and the wall stretches help to loosen the tightness in my hips. Also, the first week I felt muscles in my core I never felt before! I’ve walked, worked out at the gym and even used a Nordic Track and treadmill at home, and Wall Yoga is like no other exercise I’ve ever done.”
Kim S: “I can feel my upper body (arms) becoming stronger and I have more flexibility in my hips. Each week I notice I can do more and more than the week before.”
Cathy G: “Besides stretching out my back, the breathing has helped me to stay calmer during the day at work when I usually feel stressed. I find I am not in a hurry all the time anymore; I’m taking the time to slow down and smell the roses. I even notice I don’t eat as much as I used to.” (practices yoga regularly at least twice a week)
COUPLES CRADLE
Kathleen K: “When’s the last time you’ve done something for the first time in your relationship? Cradle Yoga was it for us and we are grateful.”
Ed C: “Couples Cradle allows even the strongest relationship to become stronger.”
